The United States is to provide millions of dollars to Caribbean governments to help them re-integrate their citizens deported from the US for criminal offences.

St. Lucia's acting Prime Minister, Stephenson King, has given his strongest indication to date that Sir John Compton will not return to office.

Sir John suffered a series of mild strokes that forced him to hand over the reigns of power to Mr King some three months ago.
